Hey there! I’m Dr. Ebony!
I'm a licensed psychologist, speaker, entrepreneur, and creator of My Therapy Cards®. For more than a decade, I've been helping people better understand themselves, heal from difficult experiences, and create lives that feel more aligned, meaningful, and authentic.
My work is rooted in the belief that healing happens when people feel seen, understood, and empowered to tell the truth about their experiences. Whether I'm conducting psychological evaluations, speaking on mental health, creating therapeutic tools, or supporting clients in therapy or other professionals in consultation, my goal is always the same: to make mental health conversations more accessible, relatable, and transformative.
I am especially passionate about serving women, communities of color, and individuals navigating trauma, identity, relationships, and life transitions. My approach combines clinical expertise with warmth, curiosity, and real-world practicality.
When I'm not working, you'll likely find me traveling, exploring new restaurants, spending time with friends, loving on my dogs, or dreaming up my next big idea.
I'm so glad you're here, and I look forward to connecting with you
My Approach
I believe that people are more than their symptoms, diagnoses, or difficult experiences. My approach is rooted in helping individuals understand the full context of who they are, including their strengths, challenges, relationships, culture, experiences, and the stories they tell themselves about their lives.
I don't believe healing is about "fixing" people. I believe it is about increasing awareness, building insight, developing practical tools, and creating opportunities for people to reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways. My work is collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in the understanding that every person brings unique strengths and wisdom to the table.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: when people feel seen, understood, and empowered, meaningful change becomes possible.
Accessibility
I also believe that knowledge should be accessible. Mental health concepts don't have to be wrapped in complicated language to be effective. Whether I'm explaining assessment results, facilitating a workshop, or creating resources like My Therapy Cards®, my goal is to make psychological insights practical, relatable, and useful in everyday life.
safe space
Whether I'm conducting a psychological evaluation, speaking to an audience, creating therapeutic tools, or working with professionals through coaching and consultation, I approach every interaction with curiosity, compassion, and authenticity. I strive to create spaces where people feel safe enough to be honest, challenged enough to grow, and supported enough to move forward.
